pool hall, restaurant and bar opened its doors to the public
Thursday, August 1st, 1996. It features 18 regulation pool tables
and a full-service bar and restaurant.
Garage partners Alex Rosenast, Jill Rosenast, Kelly Curtis,
Peggy Curtis, and Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) collaborated to
create a fun facility that would draw "true" players as well
as new pool enthusiasts. Every detail to Garage was custom designed
and built by partners Jill and Alex Rosenast.
Garage was built in 1928 and had served as an auto repair garage
until its present transformation. Garage now reflects a spacious,
high-ceiling design with extensive chrome and vinyl details
that are true to its automotive past. Exposed ceilings, special
lighting, distinctive fixtures, and custom features transform
the Garage into a one-of-a-kind venue.
Garage is located at 1130 Broadway, one block south of East
Pike on Capitol Hill. Hours of operation are 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.
every day. The Pool and bar area is limited to patrons 21 and
over, while the restaurant and heated patio is open to all ages until 10 PM
and features a broad mix of cuisine from around the globe,
plus all your American favorites. |
